CLASSROOM TEACHER

32-40 hours/week; 41 weeks/year

Responsibilities: Provides developmentally appropriate preschool activities in a safe, active and child-oriented environment; develops lesson plans; arranges for materials and supplies; works closely with the child’s guardian to provide a meaningful classroom experience for the child.   

Requirements: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education required, Bachelor Degree preferred. Elementary Education or other degrees may be considered.

Starting Rate of Pay: $14.34/hour for Associate Degree; $15.83/hour for Bachelor Degree

SUBSTITUTE

40 hours/week; 41 weeks/year

Responsibilities: Assists classroom staff and fills in as needed to ensure quality and safety of all classrooms.

Requirements: Minimum of Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education required.

Starting Rate of Pay: $14.34/hour

BI-LINGUAL FAMILY SERVICE WORKER (Batesville/Laurel area)

40 hours/week; 48 weeks/year

Responsibilities: Engages families involved in the Head Start program through home-based services, addressing the complex issues which limit many families in achieving self-sufficiency. Assist Spanish families in Head Start. Translate Head Start materials.

Requirements: High School Diploma / GED required. One year of experience working with families and direct client assistance is required. Once employed, on-going training in family development, including parenting, is required.

Starting Rate of Pay: $9.71/hour

SIEOC CCR&R School Age Specialist

40 hours week; 52 weeks per year; potential for full time

Responsibilities: The School Age Specialist is responsible for working with child care sites that provide programs outside of a school’s traditional operating times, particularly, those programs who also serve children who are less than 5 years of age. The Specialist will recruit these sites to participate in Paths to QUALITY. The Specialist will work with current Paths to QUALITY Coaches to ensure that child care sites providing an “out of school time” program, particularly those who also serve children who are less than 5 years of age, are offering a Developmentally Appropriate environment and curriculum so that the sites will be able to advance on Paths to QUALITY. The Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring Professional Development opportunities for “out of school time” providers are offered on our quarterly training calendar. This position is required to work some weekends and evenings. Travel throughout southeastern Indiana will be required.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Education, Youth Development, Parks and Recreation, Youth Services, or Consumer and Family Sciences AND 4 years experience working in a youth services setting. Must have experience training adults, strong computer skills and ability to work non-traditional hours.

Rate of Pay Range: $16.00-$23.00/hour

Office Location: Aurora, Indiana

Satellite Offices: Clark and Jackson Counties

Work Area: Clark, Dearborn, Decatur, Floyd, Franklin, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Scott, Switzerland and Washington Counties
